Uptown Espresso opened its first store in 1985 at the bottom of one of Seattle's oldest neighborhoods, Queen Anne hill. It has since been a mainstay in the neighborhood for commuters, students, and coffee connoisseurs alike. Through local artists, Uptown has maintained its unique charm. Although growing beyond the confines of lower Queen Anne, when it's a sunny day and the shop windows open up, get there early on the weekend for a seat.
